First day of Preschool 2013-2014

This morning was the first day of school for the 2013-2014 school year. Class was only an hour long and we probably spent 3 days convincing and reminding her that today was a short day. (Actually, she reminded me last night!) However, an hour was long enough to find exactly what she needed!
It was a precarious balance last night and this morning. She picked out her fanciest dress to wear. We had a nice long bath. ("No stinky babies at school!") She ate a good dinner and snack and even packed a lunch (although they weren't having 'sit-down' snack until Wednesday.)

She woke ready to go, all shades of excited and wound up! Everything was going great....until getting actually to the classroom. And there it was.....CHANGE. This was something new. It stopped her cold in her tracks, not sure of her next steps.

So what do you do with change? Well, at age four standing in the doorway of your new 4's class, you put your best dress forward, get a name tag on, and go in search of either (1) a kitchen or (2) babies. And when you find both, well, that's just the way life is meant to be! Then you come home in the evening and tell Papi everything wonderful about your new class! Seems like a great start to a new school year.
